Located in the village of Abington and dating from 1898 the centuries-old Glencaple Church hides at the top of a small woodland path – a favourite with photographers, flower girls and page boys alike. Given it’s age Glencaple is a warm and intimate venue and we can ask for permission to use the church for your wedding ceremony. On occasion brides and their wedding parties have been known to walk from their ceremony at the church to their wedding reception at the hotel.
If the hope for your Scottish wedding is to capture the drama of the outdoors consider St Brides Kirk in Douglas, once visited by Mary Queen of Scots and where the remains of Castle Dangerous still stand. Surrounded by a small loch and floating lily pads it’s truly a stunning outdoor wedding location.
