Arrival 23rd December
16.30 A chance to unwind after your journey, with a cup of tea or coffee in our elegant Arbory Lounge, while your cases are taken to your rooms. After settling in, it will be time perhaps to get your bearings around the Hotel, or to just relax.
18.00 Sherry Reception: come and say hello to Duncan and his friendly staff that will be taking care of you during the festivities, followed by Candlelit Dinner.
08.00-09.30 A full cooked breakfast to set you up for the busy day ahead.
10.30 Suggest a short run to the nearby market town of Moffat. After a short visit we recommend a run to Peebles via the ‘Devils Beef Tub’: last chance for Christmas Shopping !
18.30 Our Gala Christmas Eve Dinner in the Glengonnar Restaurant.
After Dinner one of our local entertainers will entertain you in the Arbory lounge
23.30 As Christmas Day draws nearer; you will have the opportunity to go to the Watchnight Service in the local Church. Return to the Hotel for a warming cup of tea or coffee and mince pies in the Arbory Lounge.
Christmas Day 25th December
08.00-09.30 Full Scottish Breakfast will be served in the Glengonnar room
10.30………..Morning coffee and shortbread in the Conservatory
12.00………..Bubbly and canapés served in the Arbory Lounge.
12.30………..Christmas Lunch with full trimmings. Visit from ‘Santa’ with presents for all!
16.00………..Christmas Cake and tea in the Conservatory
18.00…………..Bucks fizz reception in the Arbory lounge
18.30………..Buffet in The Glengonnar Restaurant.
After Dinner Christmas Quiz in the Arbory lounge.
Boxing Day 26th December
08.00-09.30 Full cooked breakfast.
10.30 We are off again this time to the award winning New Lanark. This attraction is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular visits with our guests. It has won numerous Tourism Awards and is a must for any visitor. A packed lunch to enjoy at New Lanark will be provided to all guests. Your passport entitles you a guided tour and afterwards you can visit all parts of the centre including the ‘Millennium Ride which will take you back to Christmas day 200 years ago.
18.00………..Malt Whisky reception in the Arbory Lounge.
18.30………..Boxing Day Candlelit Banquet in the Glengonnar Restaurant.
